myrimis - Release Notes (2008-04-23) - Distance alert
If you have right to view exact location of an object and you want to keep check it’s location to avoid you forget to do something in correct time. Currently, you need to keep your eyes on myrimis system. If this is the case. Distance alert is the function you need.
Changes
If you have right to view exact location of an object. You can set a rule in system to auto inform you when the object go inside or out of an area based on a fixed or your latest location. System will inform you by text message. The text message can be received by myrimis or nanonavi.
Use case A - Inform you when school bus will arrive your home soon
1) Click ruler icon of the school bus object
2) Select "Check with a fixed location"
3) Click set location button and then select your home position
4) Input distance i.e. 100m
5) Select "Inform me if go inside the area"
6) Click Enable button to active the rule.
System will send you a message if distance between the school bus and your home less than 100m
Use case B - Inform you when your kid goes too far from you.
Notes : both you and your kid are moving objects
1) Click ruler icon
2) Select "Check with my latest location"
3) Input distance i.e. 50m
4) Select "Inform me if go outside the area"
5) Click Enable button to active the rule.
System will send you a message if distance between your kid and you more than 50m
Use case C - Inform you when you close to the destination
1) Click ruler icon of the land mark object represent your destination
2) Select "Check with my latest location"
3) Input distance i.e. 100m
4) Select "Inform me if go inside the area"
5) Click Enable button to active the rule.
System will send you a message if you close to your destination with distance less then 100m.
Notes : More use cases can be applied. You can disable the rule and then re-enable it later without re-enter parameters.
